Little Swimmers | Miami & Killian

Little Swimmers | Pembroke Pines

If you would like to schedule a home lesson, please call the location closest to your home and let our staff member know you would like an instructor to come to your home.

How and when do I pay for the lesson?

All lessons must be paid on Monday, the first day of your lesson at the front office. You may pay by check or cash. To help with the registration process, you may obtain our registration form from our website and have it completed upon your arrival. If payment has not been received by Tuesday there will be an additional $5 late fee applied for every day after that.

Is there a registration fee?

No, Little Swimmers does not charge a registration fee.

How do I get a coupon and when can I use it?

Sign up for our newsletter to receive a $5 off coupon. Bring the coupon on your first day and we will take $5 off the full price of you or your child’s lesson.

Can I request a specific instructor?

Yes! Just ask use over the phone who you would like to teach you or your child and we will give you information on their availability.

What happens if it is raining?

Please call 30-45 minutes in advance to the location of your lessons. Please keep in mind that the phone may be very busy at these times. We encourage that you still try to make it to your lesson since at times some of the rainstorms may last only 15-20 minutes. There are many occasions that it is raining at your home but not raining at the location.

What happens if my child is sick?

Call our office in advance to let us know that your child will not be able to attend their lesson. Missed lessons due to illness will be rescheduled if proper documentation from your doctor is given. Your instructor will determine the best time and day in which to give a make-up lesson.

What time should I arrive for my lesson?

Please arrive at our facility 15 to 25 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson. This will allow you time to finish dressing your child, apply sunblock, use restroom etc.

What happens if I’m late for my lesson?

Please call our office to let us know you are running late. Unfortunately, there are no make-ups for the time lost. Your lesson will begin immediately upon your arrival. Please keep in mind that the instructor will have another lesson immediately after your lesson.

What happens if I miss a class?

The only classes that will be made up are those that are canceled by Little Swimmers due to bad weather and if your child is sick. However, you must provide documentation from your doctor in order to reschedule any missed class(es) due to illness. Any missed make-up class will not be rescheduled and there will be no refunds.

Is it okay to feed my child before the lesson; If yes, how soon before?

Yes, it’s okay. However, if you do please try to feed your child 1 ½ to 2 hours prior to the lesson. If possible, avoid feeding your child dairy products such as milk and yogurt. We suggest that you have snacks or lunch ready for your child after his/her lesson.

What should I bring for the lesson?

Please bring a bathing suit, sunblock and towel. If your child wears a diaper and is not potty trained it is mandatory that they wear a swim diaper while in the pool.

What happens if my child begins to cry?

Remember, your child has just been introduced to a new environment, our instructors are well trained for these type of situations and will comfort your child to make their swimming experience a fun, safe and healthy one. For best results we ask that parents remain in the seating area and out of sight so the class can go uninterrupted and allow the instructor to build a rapport with the child.

What should I expect in 5 days?

Please understand that every child is different. Our main goal is that at the end of their lessons, the child can defend themselves in the water. For example, if the child falls into the water they can either swim to safety or float on their backs. A second week for some children may be necessary to master the skills needed for water safety. We encourage parents to continue practicing the skills learned at Little Swimmers so the child can continue to improve. Remember, practice makes perfect.

Do you teach adults and children with disabilities and/or special needs?

Yes! Our instructors are highly trained to teach a variety of disabilities and special needs, and cater the lessons to fit the needs of each individual.

“I can't say enough good things about Little Swimmers. My daughter is 2 1/2, and a few weeks ago she would have drowned in a pool, but now she is a confident swimmer. I am amazed!!!”

“I took my 7 year old son, to the kendall location for private lessons with Ely. He is the absolute best! My shy kid connected with him so great on the first day, and felt completely comfortable with him. On the second day, not only was he swimming fantastically, he started learning different strokes. This place, and this instructor, was more than worth the money! You get what you pay for! Even my son said he was lucky because he got the best instructor!! ”

“My kids learned super quickly!
I was so impressed that my 9 mo old daughter was swimming in 5 lessons! My son at just 5 was diving into the 9 feet and getting dive toys.
The instructors were amazing, and the secretary Amber was so helpful! I loved that the owners were also always around and smiling.
I will be back every summer and tell everyone I know that this is definitely the best swim school in Miami.”
